The Hipster Pin Longboard is a natural evolution of the Hipster Longboard with the swallow tail being replaced by a pintail, offering a smoother rail-to-rail transition, and the ability to go a it more vertical.
As soon as it was released and put under the feet of the SMIK team riders at the LSR Cosmic Experience event in Bali, it made an instant impact in redefining the abilities of longboard turns. The tightness of turns, the speed and acceleration carried through these maneuvers, combined with Wes' vertical attack was simply sublime.

Just like the swallow version, the Hipster Pin Longboard runs a single concave from the nose all the way through the board, which feeds into a double concave towards the tail with a slight Vee running out the tail.
This produces a lot of speed and lift when you initiate a rail, with the double concave softening the single concave between the feet through chop, accelerating water flow and exhausting water out through the tail.
There's a fair amount of tail rocker, which combines with the double concave, twin fin setup and hip in the outline to produce these extraordinary turning capabilities, with the pin tail making it oh-so-smooth with that vertical enhancement.
Its nose rocker is also a blend of shortboard and full traditional longboard, which tend to be quite flat through the nose. It's by no means a slouch at noseriding but recovery from vertical surfing requires a bit more nose rocker so as not to pearl coming down from critical re-entries.
When you step back to the tail, put the board on rail and start to drive, is where this is a longboard in a league of its own. Full speed accelerating shortboard turns built into a longboard. The carving sensation is also enhanced with super fine sensitive rails blocking out through the tail.

All boards feature EVA deck pads for comfort and grip. The SMIK carry handle is ergonomic and comfortable, for an easy and balanced walk down to the beach. All inserts are reinforced to prevent rip-outs.
